Our Land & Produce
We are a hillside farm in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. We own 45 acres but we only cultivate 1 acre of produce. We are a no-till, off grid market farm.
We grow & sell a wide variety of vegetables with an emphasis on specialty salad mixes, micro greens, shoots, heirloom tomatoes, salad turnips, radishes & cucumbers. We deliver to local pick up spots for our community members via orders from our online store & through our Summer CSA. Our produce can be found at local coops, grocery stores, restaurants and schools.
The People
We purchased our land in 2002. We began homesteading and building all of our buildings and our home. Our gardens grew and we began selling produce to our community in 2007. We got serious about our market farm in 2009 and have grown Small Axe Farm through the years. Our son Huckle has run a rhubarb business as part of our farm since 2010. We are here to improve the land, grow healthy organic produce for our community, and do the work we love and believe in.
